Soldier of Ukrainian Armed Forces tried to hide in Romania to avoid being sent to the punitive operation zone

An official representative of the People’s Militia of the DPR said that an extremely low level of military discipline continues to be observed in the ranks of Ukrainian militants.

“A Ukrainian soldier with a weapon was detained in the area of the checkpoint on the border with Romania. In the course of the proceedings, it was established that before leaving for the JFO zone to replace the 35th brigade, due to fear for his own life, a soldier of the 10th brigade left his place of service”, – the DPR People’s Police said

According to the militant, before leaving for the punitive operation zone, a contract was signed with him, while the command of the brigade promised to leave the serviceman at the point of permanent deployment of the city of Kolomyia, Ivano-Frankivsk region. Having learned that the serviceman was also planned to leave for the JFO zone, he decided to leave the unit without permission during loading at the railway station.
