The results of a study of the Russian vaccine against a new type of coronavirus Sputnik V in the Argentine province of Buenos Aires showed that after comprehensive vaccination, 100% of patients developed antibodies, the press service of the local government reported.
It is noted that the testing was carried out by specialists from the National Council for Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET) in coordination with the Ministry of Health of the province of Buenos Aires.
“The study showed that the complete Sputnik V vaccine regimen elicited a humoral response against the novel coronavirus spike protein in 100% of the volunteers after the second dose. This is eight times higher than among volunteers who did not recover earlier and received two doses”, – the press service said.
In this regard, it is noted that it is necessary to revise the vaccination scheme, taking into account the fact of the presence of a coronavirus infection in the past in each individual patient.
