Former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo does not rule out the possibility of running for president in 2024 if ex-President Donald Trump does not nominate himself.
“I have always been ready to fight. I care about America. We have been part of the conservative movement for a long time. I strive to continue to do so”, – Pompeo replied on Fox News when asked by the host if he might consider running for the presidency unless Trump does not run.
Earlier, Trump said he could decide to run for president again. Bloomberg reported, citing sources, that Trump is seriously considering this possibility.
