Zelenskyy’s party has been stripped of state funding

The reason was violations revealed in “Servant of the People” reports

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s party Sluha Naroda has been stripped of state funding due to violations found in its reports by the National Anticorruption Agency (NACC). This was reported on Monday by the press service of the NACC.

“In connection with the revealed violations, the order of the chairman of the NACC Alexander Novikov stopped the state funding of the party “Servant of the People”,” –  the NACC said in a statement on Facebook.

According to the agency, signs of criminal offences were found in the reports of the political parties Congress of Ukrainian Nationalists, Vilkul’s Bloc Ukrainian Perspective and Sluha Naroda. The NACC said that the relevant materials were sent to the National Police of Ukraine.

In November 2020, due to irregularities in reporting, the NAPC left Yuliya Tymoshenko’s Fatherland parliamentary party without state funding, and in January 2021 the Golos parliamentary party.
