Europe plans to organise vaccination tours to Russia

German carrier Lufthansa, in a fight against the slow roll-out of mass vaccination in Germany, is offering vaccination tours to the Russian capital

The airline’s planes will take off from its hub in Frankfurt am Main (FRA) and land at Moscow’s Domodedovo Airport (DME).

European newspapers report that a special transit zone has already been selected at Domodedovo for vaccinating passengers of these exclusive flights – passengers will enter this arrival area where they will be vaccinated with the Sputnik V vaccine. Having received the dose, they immediately return to Germany without coming into contact with passengers in other areas of the airport, as there is no need to cross the border.

Lufthansa is also considering extending the scheme to flights from Zurich and Vienna.
