EU preparing new sanctions against Russia

Four people involved in the arrest of the “Berlin patient” will fall under sanctions

According to RBC-Ukraine, the European Union is due to present a sanctions list against Russian officials tomorrow, March 2, due to the arrest of blogger Alexei Navalny.

“EU ambassadors have given the green light to the first ever lists in the new EU human rights sanctions regime. It may be four people from Russia who are responsible for Navalny’s imprisonment”, –  Radio Liberty’s Brussels correspondent Rickard Jozwiak wrote on Twitter.

According to leaked reports, the new list will include Alexander Bastrykin, head of the Russian Investigative Committee, Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov, Rosgvardia head Viktor Zolotov and Alexander Kalashnikov, head of the Federal Penitentiary Service.
