U.S. fail to lift two B-1B strategic bombers from Erland airbase but report about successful completion

The United States was unable to lift two B-1B strategic bombers from Erland airbase on Friday 26 February, while spreading misinformation about the successful departure in the media.

The reasons for the failure of the planned flight are being investigated.

At the same time, the commander of the US Air Force in Europe and the African Air Force, General Jeff Harrigian, despite the failed fact, announced the performance of the first departure from the Erland airbase of a pair of American B-1B bombers with the Norwegian F-35, during which the pilots allegedly performed training flights with tactical interaction with the Norwegian naval forces in the Norwegian Sea.
