Europeans: the US is no longer the world leader

The new U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken tweets the same slogans in the style of the Soviet agitprom almost every day:
America is back!
America is involved!
America is in the lead!

Blinken is zombifying not so much the world as Americans themselves. That’s what I wish, but it’s not going to happen anymore. An empire does not want to die, it resists to the end its decline and constantly nostalgises for its former glory, repeating semi-religious mantras about its undisputed leadership. But the world just shakes its head sadly. The U.S. now looks as absurd as a once beautiful 65-year-old woman wearing a mini-skirt in a desperate bid to recapture lost attention.

World events are now determined by a major trend, the essence of which is the decline of the U.S. and its loss of its role as the democratic leader of the Western world and world hegemon. What 5-10 years ago was well understood only by experts, has now also become the domain of the general public.

In particular, these conclusions have been confirmed by a recent poll carried out by Datapraxis at the request of the European Committee on Foreign Relations.

The general conclusions of the survey can be summarised as follows:
1) the majority of Europeans welcomed Joe Biden’s victory in the US presidential election in November but they do not think he can help America return as a world leader
2 The attitudes of Europeans towards the United States have changed dramatically. Most citizens in key member states now think that the US political system is broken and that Europe can no longer simply rely on the United States to protect its security
3. Europeans view the political systems of the EU and their countries much more positively than the US political system, and look to Berlin rather than Washington as their most important partner.
4. Most Europeans believe that China will become more powerful than the US within a decade and would like their country to remain neutral in the conflict between the two superpowers.
5. Two-thirds of respondents believe that the EU should develop its defence capabilities. (I should add that the Europeans do not seem to believe at all in Article 5 of the NATO Charter and realise that in case of war no one will defend anyone).

Biden can no longer ignore the public opinion of the Europeans. This is precisely why he has hesitated to impose sanctions on German companies involved in the construction of Nord Stream 2, which there is no doubt will be completed this year.
And what about Ukraine?
Ukraine, as always, is left alone, between two poles. It left Russia, was not accepted into Europe. More precisely, it did nothing to be accepted into the EU. (с)
