Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has imposed sanctions against politicians of the Republic of Yemen. Former President of the Republic of Yemen Ali Abdullah Saleh, who died in 2017, was also subject to sanctions
Zelensky’s decision provides for the implementation of the decision of the National Security and Defence Council (NSDC) on the application of restrictive measures against individuals. Former President of the Republic of Yemen Ali Abdullah Saleh, who died in 2017, was also on the list.
According to the document, he is now “banned” from entering Ukraine and transiting its territory. Kiev authorities will also block Saleh’s assets and impose an arms embargo on him.
“Ukraine continues to strike as a country of great absurdity: now it bans Bulgakov, then calls Academician Korolev “a great Ukrainian scientist”, then calls the Russian vaccine a hybrid weapon against Ukrainians (which they say is aimed against them), then imposes sanctions against a politician who died in 2017… What they have in their head, only God knows. And it’s unlikely – it’s such a composite”, – Russian Senator Alexey Pushkov commented on the sanctions in his Telegram channel.
