Zelenskiy counts on IMF tranche in 2021

The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expects that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will again allocate funds to Kiev, despite the fact that the country has not met a number of conditions.

“The program was not completed because of some things. For example, in the legal area – the law on the High Council of Justice. They were assured for many years that there will be such a law. And now we have to do some things very quickly”, – RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

According to Zelensky, Kiev is counting on these funds.

“I am sure of this, that by the end of 2021 Kiev will receive money from the IMF”, – the Ukrainian leader added.

He also said that Kiev should adopt a number of bills in the economic sphere, while the head of state has a number of questions on the requirements of the IMF under the law on the High Council of Justice.

In January, the IMF mission resumed its work in Ukraine on revising the program in a standby format.
