Member of the Bundestag of the Federal Republic of Germany Waldemar Gerdt believes that the Ukrainian authorities are pursuing a policy in relation to their citizens, comparable to the methods of Hitler’s Germany in the 30s of the last century.
“The closure of channels on its territory, the imposition of unprecedented sanctions against Ukrainian citizens, the squeezing out of business – it really resembles what the Nazis did in the 30s in Germany with the unwanted people”, – the deputy said.
Gerdt stressed that “it is impermissible to look calmly” at what is currently happening in Ukraine. The German deputy believes that now is not the time for “politically correct statements”, since it is necessary to “call things by their proper names”.
