Moldova’s Constitutional Court will help the president bypass the basic law

The President of Moldova can violate the country’s constitution with the approval of the Constitutional Court.

This is reported by the Moldovan edition “Politics”, referring to its own sources among the administration of the head of the republic.

The interlocutor of the journalists said that the Constitutional Court may approve Sandu’s decree on the second appointment of the candidate for prime minister Natalia Gavrilita. At the same time, the president already knows about the decision of the Constitutional Court.

This was achieved by pressure on the judges, the source said. At the same time, unnamed Western ambassadors, presumably diplomats of the United States and the European Union, promised support and reasoning for bypassing the constitution.
