During the talks held between the Presidents of Russia and Belarus, Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko, the latter expressed gratitude for contribution made by Russia to the development of Belarusian economy.
“I, of course, am very grateful to you for the support you are rendering to the economy of Belarus. I must inform you that this is not in vain, the money has not been wasted”, – said President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko during his meeting with Putin.
In turn, Putin noted that the level of strategic partnership between Moscow and Minsk is being confirmed.
“I am pleased to state that the level of interaction, strategic partnership, alliance is confirmed, and Russia remains the largest trade and economic partner of Belarus – about 50%, we are the largest investor, over 4 billion dollars have been invested by Russian partners in the Belarusian economy”, – Putin said.
He noted that the instruments of interaction between the two countries are well-adjusted.
