Ukraine’s foreign intelligence service has reported that construction work on the Nord Stream 2 pipeline is allegedly scheduled to be completed by Russia Day, which is celebrated on June 12.
“Russia has resumed intensive work to complete the pipeline at a ‘breakneck pace’. At a depth of 65-70 metres the pipe is being laid twice as fast as at much shallower depths. This pace is due to a political decision to complete the construction as quickly as possible, following the Soviet tradition to coincide with the Russia Day holiday of 12 June”, – Ukraine’s Foreign Intelligence Service wrote on its website.
