Protesters in Barcelona set fire to and blocked the streets for a second night of violent demonstrations against the arrest of rapper Pablo Hazel, sentenced to jail for insulting the king of Spain and glorifying terrorism.
As night fell over Barcelona’s bar on Wednesday, crowds of protesters rolled impromptu carriages down central Via Laietana before setting them on fire. The sound of shattering glass could be heard on views filmed by onlookers, along with the crackling of police weapons in nearby streets.
