The leader of the party that won Kosovo’s elections supports the republic’s accession to Albania
The leader of the party “Self-Determination”, which won the elections in Kosovo, Albin Kurti has said he supports the accession of the republic to Albania, the Euronews channel 112 Ukraine reports.
“Kurti said that if the issue were put to a referendum, he would vote in favour”, – the report said.
It is worth noting that more than 90% of Kosovo’s 1.8 million inhabitants are ethnic Albanians, and the prospect of a union between the two peoples is popular in both Kosovo and Albania.
