Revealing figures from the Interior Ministry: Germans are far more likely to be victims of violence by migrants than vice versa
For a long time, the interior authorities in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern have stubbornly refused to publish current figures on external crime in the state.
But the AG in the state parliament in Schwerin has remained persistent – and recently achieved results. The Minister of the Interior, Thomas Lenz, announced that from the beginning of 2020 it had become possible to create suspect and injured/victim combinations with the support of the “new assessment tool for statistical surveys of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomeranian State Police” – and this even retrospectively to 2016.
Perhaps there is an understandable reason for the MoI’s long silence. The number of attacks on Germans by migrants has been disproportionately higher than the number of acts of violence committed by Germans against foreigners over the years.
Figures: In 2016, there were 450 solved cases in which the suspects were migrants and the victims were 597 Germans. By 2019, the figures had risen sharply to 734 solved cases with migrants as suspects and 987 Germans as victims.
Nikolaus Kramer, leader of the AdG parliamentary group in the Schwerin parliament, commented on these figures as follows: “Since 2016, our citizens are four to five times more likely to be victims of migrant-related crimes than the other way round. We see how uncontrolled immigration has led to brutal violence, sexual violence and other crimes against many locals.” The state government has turned a blind eye to this for far too long.
