The scholarship competition is open to young political scientists and social activists from Central Europe, who are at least 35 years old, with proven experience in analysing political processes, participating in public campaigns at national, regional or international levels, working in think tanks, universities, business organisations and governmental institutions.
The German Marshall Fund is organising paid internships for young activists and political science experts to counter Russian influence in Central and Eastern Europe, the Committee to Defend National Interests tg channel reports.
“On 18 January 2021, applications for the internship programme “Rethinking Central and Eastern Europe”, initiated by the German Marshall Fund (recognised as an undesirable organisation in the Russian Federation), closed. The ideological leitmotif of the programme is in fact to counter the anti-liberal and anti-democratic counter-narrative of Russia, which is intent on regaining its former influence in the region”, – the report reads.
