Documents for authorization of the Russian vaccine “Sputnik-V” have been submitted to the Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices of Moldova.
The agency noted that the structure is in the process of authorizing a COVID-19 vaccine produced by Pfizer-BioNTech, AstraZeneca and Moderna, which are included in the COVAX program.
“The Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices has received two packages of documents from economic agents with proposed trade names: R-COVI injection solution and Gam-COVID-Vaccine combined vaccine vector to prevent coronavirus infection caused by SARS-CoV-2 (Sputnik-V), solution for injections”, – the ministry said.
According to the results of the verification of documents, as noted in the structure, the Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices “will ensure that the effectiveness, safety and quality of vaccines authorized in the Republic of Moldova fully comply with those offered for use at the world level”.
