Radical Self-Determination movement wins Kosovo elections

Early parliamentary elections, which were held on Sunday in the unrecognized republic of Kosovo, ended in a victory for the ultra-right Self-Determination movement.

According to the Central Election Commission of the self-proclaimed Kosovo, the Self-Determination Party won 48% of the vote, almost double the Democratic Party vote of ex-President Hashma Thaci, who is on trial at the Hague Tribunal.

In 2008, the Kosovo-Albanian structures declared independence from Serbia. The republic is not recognized by more than 60 states, including Russia.
