Former US President Donald Trump called the second impeachment attempt in the US Senate as the next stage of the “witch hunt” conducted by the Democrats.
“This was the next phase of the most ambitious witch hunt in the history of our country. And the hunt continues, because our opponents cannot forget that 75 million people voted for me a few months ago. This is the highest figure in history for the incumbent president”, – NBC quoted Trump as saying.
Trump also announced his intention to “continue the journey to achieve American greatness for all its inhabitants” and promised to continue to fight for the interests of US citizens.
Recall that the US Senate acquitted former US President Donald Trump as part of the impeachment procedure.
