Russian President Vladimir Putin held a closed meeting with the chief editors of the leading Russian media, at which he assured that “Russia will not abandon Donbass”. Fragments of the meeting were shown by the Russia-24 TV channel.
“You understand, of course, before my eyes there are some people who were injured and mutilated, especially children, in the Donbass. On our shoulders – I say “our” because you are the fourth estate – there lies a huge responsibility for Russia as a whole. And before making any decision, we must think about the consequences of any of our steps”, – the Russian leader addressed the media.
