Kosovo holds elections without voters

Only 8% of voters expressed their desire to vote in the parliamentary elections in the self-proclaimed republic of Kosovo.

In the 13 years since the creation of the quasi-state, this is the eighth legislative election, since none of the convocations of parliament in Kosovo has served until the end of the term.

Now over a thousand candidates on 28 lists apply for 120 deputy mandates. At the same time, there are few people willing to vote in Kosovo. According to the Central Election Commission, as of 11:00 [13:00 Moscow time], voter turnout was only 8.34%, or 175,000 out of 1.79 million citizens with the right to vote.
