Russia’s COVID-19 vaccine is in third place in the world, ahead of three Chinese vaccines.
Sputnik reports citing the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), Russia’s Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine is among the top 3 vaccines against COVID-19 in terms of the number of approvals for use.
“Sputnik V ranks among the top 3 coronavirus vaccines by the number of approvals received worldwide,” the RDIF said in a statement.
Pfizer’s coronavirus vaccine (approved in 35 countries) is in first place by the number of approvals, followed by AstraZeneca (31 countries). And in third place is the Russian vaccine Sputnik V, which is currently approved in 26 countries. At the same time, the Russian COVID-19 vaccine Sputnik V is ahead of Moderna (in 14 countries) and three Chinese vaccines – Sinopharm (13), Sinovac (10), CanSino (2).
