European Parliament adopted a resolution, demanding to suspend the launch of the Belarusian nuclear power plant in Astravets because of safety concerns. The document was voted on Thursday at the EP plenary session in Brussels
The document was supported by 642 deputies, while 29 voted against it and 21 others abstained.
“Members of the European Parliament demand to suspend the launch of the Belarusian nuclear power plant in Astravets because of serious concerns about its safety”, – said the EP.
The European Parliament resolutions are recommendatory in nature.
