Biden administration talks about prospect of lifting anti-Russian sanctions

The US does not intend to recognize the will of Crimean residents who supported reunification with Russia in 2014

This statement was made on Thursday, February 11, by Rodney Hunter, a representative of the US delegation to the UN, speaking at a meeting of the Security Council.

According to him, the Joe Biden administration is not currently considering lifting anti-Russian sanctions.

“We will never recognise Russia’s attempt to annex Crimea. As a result, US sanctions against Russia for its actions in Ukraine will remain in place until Moscow reconsiders its course”, –  Hunter said.

The American also falsely accused Russia of a “military presence” in Donbass, although even OSCE observers deny this.
