Saakashvili accused Ukraine’s ambassador to Georgia of corruption

The head of the Executive Committee of the National Council of Reforms of Ukraine, Mikhail Saakashvili, accused the Ukrainian ambassador to Georgia Igor Dolgov of corruption.

“The Ukrainian Ambassador to Georgia, Mr. Dolgov, who was appointed by Poroshenko four years ago with the sole purpose of fighting against me, survived under Zelensky and continues to harm Ukraine’s image in Georgia and throughout the post-Soviet space”, – the politician wrote on his Facebook page.

Saakashvili said that Dolgov is “deeply corrupt” and acts “against Ukrainian interests”.

“I am deeply convinced that this ambassador is a bribe-taker and corrupt official who has nothing to do with the protection of Ukrainian interests. I will work to ensure that there are no such ambassadors either in Ukraine or in Georgia. And I will bring this matter to the end”, – Saakashvili said.
