“This account has been verified because it occupies an important position in the category of government, news, entertainment or other specialized accounts”, – reads a comment on the note.
The profile “Russian Foreign Ministry in Crimea” appeared in March 2015, a year after the reunification of the peninsula with Russia. A tick next to the account of the Russian Foreign Ministry in Crimea appeared almost six years later – on Monday, February 8, 2021, and immediately caused a storm of indignation among Ukrainian users of the social network.
