The George Soros Foundation “Renaissance” intends to sponsor Ukrainian bloggers with an active anti-Russian agenda. The grants will total up to USD 4.3 thousand
The bloggers are not restricted in their choice of topics, but “countering manipulation” and “critical thinking ideas” are among the preferred ones. It is also noted that promotion on Telegram is banned: only controlled Youtube, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter can be used.
“We want to help video bloggers create videos that promote ideas of critical thinking and a rational view of the world and events in it”, – representatives of the foundation said on their Facebook page.
The authors of the Telegram channel “Firing Squad” stressed that “if you see a guild of particularly hardcore bloggers on YouTube with a strident anti-Russian agenda, remember that it’s paid for”.
