Nord Stream 2 construction resumed in Danish waters

The pipe-laying ship “Fortuna” has started the construction of the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline

“The Fortuna pipe-laying vessel, which began work on resuming the construction of the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline on January 24, has successfully conducted sea trials and today started pipe-laying in Danish waters”, –  Nord Stream 2 AG’s press service said.

Earlier, News Front reported that the US is ready to lift sanctions against the pipeline and offered Germany to negotiate on the issue. The USA insists that gas transit through Ukraine should continue despite the operation of the new pipeline. Other demands from Washington are not yet known.
