As part of the implementation of the Memorandum on the establishment of de-escalation zones in the Syrian Arab Republic signed by the Russian Federation, the Republic of Turkey and the Islamic Republic of Iran on 4 May 2017, monitoring of the ceasefire continues by the monitoring teams.
As agreed by the Russian and Turkish sides, a cessation of hostilities is in effect in the Idlib de-escalation zone from 00.01 6 March 2020.
The Russian part of the Mission of the Russian-Turkish joint commission for the review of ceasefire violations recorded 22 ceasefire violations (of which 17 according to the Syrian side) in the following provinces: Idlib – 12, Latakia – 5, Hama – 4, Aleppo – 1.
