Biden nominated former US ambassador to Russia William Burns for CIA director

Censor.net quoted Interfax-Ukraine as saying that US President Joe Biden has nominated William Burns for Senate confirmation as CIA director.

“Biden announced his intention to appoint Burns as head of the intelligence agency back on January 11. He said then that Burns “shares my deep conviction that intelligence should be apolitical and that the dedicated intelligence professionals serving our country deserve our gratitude and respect”, –  the statement said.
