Black Lives Matter movement nominated for Nobel Peace Prize

According to The Guardian newspaper, Norwegian MP Petter Eide has nominated the BlackLeaves Matter movement (Black Lives Matter) for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize.

“I believe that one of the key challenges we face in America, but also in Europe and Asia – is a kind of escalation of conflict based on inequality. Black Lives Matter has become a very important global movement to fight racial injustice”, – Eide said.

After the death of an African-American George Floyd at the hands of the US police, a wave of protests for “racial justice” swept through US cities and some countries around the world. However, the protests took place in an aggressive form: participants of the actions smashed the streets and took out goods from stores.
