Russian sappers defuse more than 15 thousand ammunition in Nagorno-Karabakh

During their work in Karabakh, sappers of the Russian Emergencies Ministry examined an area of ​​more than 120 hectares and neutralized 15.5 thousand explosive objects, RIA Novosti reports.

“Specialists of the EMERCOM of Russia continue work on demining in Nagorno-Karabakh. They surveyed an area of ​​over 123 hectares and found about 15.5 thousand explosives”, – the ministry’s press service said.

It is also noted that among the ammunition found there were almost 7 thousand artillery shells, 3.4 thousand rounds of various calibers, about 730 mines and more than 1,000 grenades.
