Former Danish Foreign Minister Uffe Ellemann-Jensen said that under President Vladimir Putin, Russia has managed to regain its status as a military superpower.
The politician noted the modernized air force and air defense systems, as well as the ground forces, which have shown high efficiency in Syria.
According to Elleman-Jensen, the nuclear arsenal and modern Russian submarines deserve special attention.
“For more than twenty years of rule, Vladimir Putin has made every effort to return the country to the status of a superpower, and he succeeded”, – the politician stressed.
