At the height of the pandemic, the EU issued demands to Kiev for the purchase of medicines

The European Union demands that the Ukrainian government reform the purchase of medicines and medical supplies in the country.

This was announced on Friday, January 29, by the EU Ambassador to Kiev Matti Maasikas.

The essence of the reform is simple: the government will transfer the right of all centralized public procurement to the agency “Medical Procurement of Ukraine”. Otherwise, Ukraine will not receive financial support from Europe.

“The transfer of all centralized purchases to the agency is also a condition for the provision of macro-financial assistance from the EU”, – Maasikas said.
