Ukraine’s electricity regulator has admitted that imports from Russia saved Ukrainian residents’ homes from darkness
According to the head of the National Commission of Ukraine for Regulation of Energy and Utilities Valeriy Tarasyuk, in January, coal storage at Ukrainian thermal power plants was at a minimum, so there was a threat of fan outages.
“Imports paid off to some extent. We need to take a balanced approach to such issues, which we will do together with you,” Tarasyuk asked MPs from the parliamentary rostrum.
