US President Joe Biden on Tuesday had a telephone conversation with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. The website of the White House reports.
Biden thanked the NATO Secretary General for his leadership in the Alliance and announced his intention to consult and work with allies on the full range of common security issues, including with Afghanistan, Iraq and Russia. Biden also noted the United States’ dedication to collective security in accordance with Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty.
In turn, Jens Stoltenberg announced “a new chapter in the transatlantic alliance”.
