More than 30 people detained at protests in the Netherlands

More than 30 people have been detained in the Netherlands at protests against the COVID-19 restrictive measures and curfews, Dutch News reported, citing local broadcaster NOS.

So, recently the police in Rotterdam detained 33 people for an illegal meeting and refusal to provide identity documents. In Amsterdam, the police dispersed a group of young people who set fireworks on fire.

Violations of public order were suppressed in several other cities, but for the most part those gathered dispersed at the first request of law enforcement agencies.

In the Netherlands, from 23 January, a curfew is in effect from 21.00 to 04.30.
