Yemen is gripped by massive anti-American protests

Yemenis are taking to the streets across the country calling for a halt to the US-backed aggression

This was reported by international journalist Abbas Juma on Tuesday, 26 January.

“Yemenis have taken to the streets across the country calling for a halt to the US-backed aggression. Tens of thousands have been killed and seriously injured and hundreds of thousands have been forced to flee their homes. Just think, people in the 21st century are dying en masse from disease and starvation”, –  he wrote on Twitter.

As News Front reported earlier, the US has declared Ansar Allah, the Yemeni Hussein movement, a terrorist organisation. That means non-governmental organisations will not be able to deliver humanitarian aid to Yemen.
According to UN forecasts, as a result of US policy, Yemen will face a famine it has not experienced in 40 years.
