The Pharmaceutical Safety and Development Agency Fimea has been notified of the first deaths occurring shortly after the introduction of the coronavirus vaccine
“By 25 January, three cases had been reported, all of which suggest that the patient died from a disease that he or she had before vaccination. Vaccination recommendations are unchanged”, – the agency said.
Coronavirus vaccine has been given to 106,098 people in Finland, of whom 29,700 are aged 70 and over. Finland receives vaccines exclusively on EU quotas from two manufacturers, Pfizer-BioNTechin and Moderna.
