More than a third of Londoners want to move to EU after Brexit

About 40% of Londoners said they are ready to leave the UK to work in one of the EU countries.

This is evidenced by the results of a poll by Adecco and YouGov, conducted among more than a thousand people.

The findings underscore concerns that the pandemic and Brexit are making the UK less attractive to workers. And while the City of London Corporation, which controls the city’s financial district, claims the British capital remains a strong financial center, thousands of finance workers have already moved to cities like Paris or Frankfurt.

“Even with the Brexit deal and vaccine introduction, a high level of uncertainty is forcing young people, in particular, to seek work outside the UK and London”, – said Alex Fleming, Adecco spokesman.

“If companies don’t take action now to change the situation, they will lose valuable talent and ultimately risk their chances of a successful recovery over the long term”.
