The association agreement with the European Union, the signing of which played a significant role in the events in Ukraine in 2014, will be reconsidered.
A comprehensive review of the document was announced by Charles Michel and Ursula von der Leyen, heads of the Council of Europe and the European Commission. Brussels then notified Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenski of its intentions.
“Deeper sectoral cooperation is planned, particularly in the digital and environmental spheres. An agreement on joint airspace is being prepared for signing as soon as possible. A preliminary EU assessment mission has been launched in the context of a future agreement on the conformity and eligibility of industrial products”, – the Ukrainian president’s press service said of the EU plans.
