US President Joe Biden has ordered the intelligence community to conduct a “full assessment” of interference in the US presidential election attributed to Russia, as well as a massive hacking attack on US agencies.
“While we are working with Russia to advance US interests, we are also working to hold Russia accountable for its reckless and hostile actions. And to that end, the president has directed the intelligence community to conduct a full assessment of the cyber attacks against SolarWinds, Russia’s interference in the 2020 election”, – said White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki.
Earlier, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Moscow was not involved in the hacking attacks on US government agencies and companies. He noted that “any accusations of Russian involvement are absolutely unfounded and are rather a continuation of the blind Russophobia resorted to in any incidents.
