Donald Trump and his family left the presidential residence in the White House. He is considered president until 12:00 local time, after which Joe Biden will take over as president.
Trump left the White House by helicopter. First, the 45th US president will travel to the Andrews military base in Maryland, where his farewell ceremony will take place. From there, he plans to head to his private residence Mar-a-Lago in Florida.
Trump’s departure ceremony will be accompanied by the traditional 21-gun military salute. Earlier it was reported that Trump made a farewell speech.
