Expert: Ukrainian gas is not enough for everyone

Maxim Rabinovich, director of Naftogaz Ukraine, believes that Ukrainian gas production will not be enough to cover 100% of the needs of the population.

On the air of the talk show “Strana” (“Country”) on Channel 5, the head of the gas company told how much gas is produced in Ukraine.

“Approximately 13 billion cubic meters. m per year is produced by Ukrgasvydobuvannya. Approximately 8.5 billion cubic meters m is a direct supply to households. The rest – to the enterprises of heat supply companies”, – said Maxim Rabinovich.

Thus, according to him, the Ukrainian gas will not be enough for the Ukrainians. Nevertheless, according to the press service of the Ukrainian GTS Operator, in 2020 Ukrainian consumers used 8.15 billion cubic meters. m of gas. This is 12% less than the average for the last three years.
