Clashes between protesters and security forces took place on Tuesday in the Tunisian capital. This was reported by local media.
According to a number of TV channels, protesters gathered in the city center, demanding from the authorities to release everyone who was detained in recent days on charges of participating in the riots.
The crowd also voiced demands for the resignation of the government and the dissolution of parliament.
The siloviki made attempts to prevent the protesters from moving towards the building of the republic’s Interior Ministry. Tear gas was used to disperse the demonstrators.
