Head of Constitutional Court of Ukraine charged under two criminal articles

The State Bureau of Investigation has filed charges against the head of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, Oleksandr Tupitskiy, under two articles of the Criminal Code. According to the agency, he is charged with “knowingly false testimony” and “bribing a witness”.

“Investigators of the State Bureau of Investigation in agreement with and. about. The Prosecutor General was informed about the suspicion of the judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, who carries out the administrative functions of its head”, – it says.

The department clarified that the charge was brought under Part 2 of Art. 384 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine “Deliberately false testimony associated with the artificial creation of evidence of the defense”, as well as Art. 386 “Bribery of a witness for the purpose of refusing to testify”.
