Gazprom may suspend the implementation or complete cancellation of the Nord Stream-2 and Turkish Stream projects in the event of a sharp change in the political situation. This is stated in the memorandum for the new placement of bonds of the holding.
Gazprom explained that while implementing these international projects, they continue to face risks associated with changes in the political situation in various regions. This leads to tensions between countries and a change in the positions of partners, as well as regulators, regarding various aspects of projects, the company said.
“In some cases, such changes may lead to the fact that the implementation of the project will become impossible or impractical, and therefore lead to the suspension or cancellation of the project”, – said in the memorandum.
