The personal lawyer of incumbent US President Donald Trump, Rudolph Giuliani, has said he is preparing to defend himself in the US leader’s impeachment proceedings
“I’m currently involved in that. I’m working on it right now”, – Giuliani told ABC television reporters.
He said Democrats are trying to prove that Trump’s claims of massive voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election should be seen as “calls for violence”, but if it is proven that “claims of voter fraud are at least partially true”, it takes away a key argument for Democrats.
The lawyer also did not rule out that Trump would testify during the proceedings, as such decisions are always made at the last minute.
